otherwise it's a return flight to UK at additional expense
Basically all internal travel and Russian hotels paid for. Some lunches paid for. Museums & battle costs paid for.
We have to pay for flights to and from UK, main meals & some lunches, hotel in Finland.

That makes it a bit clearer. Are you going CW? Reckon I'll have to start saving!

Well, it seems like a bit of an adventure - just weighing up shutting the business down for four days and totting up the cost!

The cost is £175 for the trip flying from Stanstead to Helsinki, with a couple of days in Finland with guided battlefield tours and a trip to the war museum, then off the Russia for the same mix of guided tours and a reenactment battle, there's also a via charge of £35, but weapons and blank ammo are thrown in for free. Also add to that the cost of some padded trousers and mittens to go with my padded jacket, or the prospect of an arse freeze of the eastern front. Any takers, I'd be glad of the company.
I thought the 175 included the flights - it certainly appeared so from the tone of the posting can someone clear all this up please, also are we wearing our kit for all 6 days?!
I do hope those that are going realise we (the unfortunate not) have noted in the site rules (its in small print so only those not going can read it) should be brought a nice present back from the front
Failing that I can cleverly conceal myself as three suitcases though it would mean three people cannot take any kit
am jealous
Neil the best people to ask are those on the pst forum, you would then get your answer straight from the osses mouth
PM Reich Crispies on there (another Neil) am sure he'd be more than happy to clear up any confusion.

That's what I thought too, Neill. And won't we be queried at the airports dressed up like Germans? I feel a bit apprehensive getting off trains in my US kit!

Neil, Chomley's got it about right, when I originally posted the info on this, I didn't have all the details myself, yes there are some additional costs, basically your Easy Jet flights from the UK to Finland, your hotel E40 in Finland, plus a few meals. As far as I'm aware, Crispies is booking things within the next two weeks and a £50 deposit is payable, best PM Crispies on the PST forum for flight prices, although having traveled with EJ quite a lot lately, to Italy, France and Ireland, they are never any more than £25 if you book early enough.
INCOMING quick battern down the hatches, get your helmets on, run away, anything HE has landed
Not sure if anyones noticed, Mr Crispies (evil horrible man, wouldn't find me associating with the likes of him, what a complete Barstool that suffice Neil? ) is now a member of the forum and will hopefully be along at some point so he can answer your questions made on here directly, rather than via chinese whispers ![]()

I noticed - I let him in! Not sure whether I should have with such a terrible pun for a forum name.
He speaks very highly of you though Helga (or should I say Dinks?).

Try Ryanair, me and Kavster have to fly down from Newcastle to Stansted to pick up the flight tp Helsinki
Its not hard for people to speak highly of me considering even at 5'7 most are taller

Well hello airsofters!
I have arrived to help allieviate any questions you may have on the re-enactors trip to St. Petersberg in January 2008.
Some of you have expressed an interest in going so here goes:
The show is organised by a good friend in Finland.
He's actually a bit of Russian and Finnish (we think Russian from the waist up, but we are awaiting a European ruling on his knees).
The trip is fantastic with visits to lots of museums, battle sites and bars.
The battle/show itself takes place on an original site with the Axis occupying original bunkers and trenchlines (last ocuppied by 4th SS Politzei).
You will be using original live fire vintage weapons (on ballistic blanks) and Russian army grenade simulators.
Artillery is simulated on the axis positions.
Forget Pyro.
They use Dynamite.
The Soviets have 180 soldiers, most with fixed bayonets and two T70's lined up to take us to the cleaners.
A FULL SAFETY BRIEFING WILL BE GIVEN.
Very intense, very cold but what the hell. Its the Ostfront. ![]()
Public very friendly.
We fly out on Jan 23 Stansted - Tampere.
Picked up by coach. We spend the night near Helsinki after a visit to the Finish war museum.
On to Russia next day.
Couple of days touring battlesites and museums (all guided)
Battle is the 27th (weapon and ammo provided, but maybe a small additional cost)
After battle party with free food and Vodka, music and girls.
Travel back though the border visiting winter war (Finland – Russia) on the way.
return flight - late evening flight January 28 Tampere-Stansted
Cost £175.00+flight+visa
Very few places left
We are block booking flights and we can include you.
For us to book Ryan air NOW we need your:
full name, age, address and an emergency contact No
This is minimum required data. Cost for flight will be low low.
If you are serious, we need a £50.00 deposit, your passport and £35.00 to cover the visa ASAP
Deal with this though PM’s please so we don’t clutter up the thread.
Kit list.
Travelling through the Russian border is OK, but you need to be aware of a few facts.
All material deposited on Russian soil by an invading army belongs to the state. If you don’t declare it going in, and you get stopped coming out, it may be confiscated and severe delays caused.
Declaring the items going in is lengthy, time consuming and expensive.
So we suggest the following:
NO FARBY CRAP ![]()
Repro Winter coat (reversible parka white side out or great coat)
Repro Field grey trews, cammo over-trews or reversible winter padded trousers.
Long-johns (very good idea)
Fitted base layer tee-shirt
Snood
Gloves
M43 hat or winter mutze
Ankle boots and gaters or Jacks. (I prefer the ankle boots as you can wear them on the plane)
I would not advise bringing your tunic. The parka covers it anyway, and unless its an obvious repro its an expensive item to “loseâ€Â
Thanks Crispies, hope that's cleared up a few things.
Chaps I'm really sorry, but due to personal reasons I can't make this any more. I am most disappointed because it sounds awesome and it would be so much fun to experience all this with friends such as yourselves.
Sorry to have disappointed anybody. Make sure you all have fun.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Thats a shame Steiner, still time to change your mind again though!
I'm deffo up for this, especially the party with the booze and girls!
I think stubbsy has my flight booking details crispies, if you need them again just ask.
